Okay, so being back after 6 long months isn’t a very good idea. But there are something that move you so much, that one has to mention. They become a part of you! ‘A part of your memory box’. I’m sure we all have a memory box. Filled with some happy memories, some sad, some scary, some out of the world and some that just cannot be put in words. One such memory that I have is a Thanksgiving dinner with a dear friend. My first official Thanksgiving dinner! Yes it was exciting.
Having studied in a convent school, we had Christmas celebrations in December. I remember the decorations in school that used to be all white and red. Sharing of sweets, wearing party dresses, Santa coming to each class and giving gifts. I enjoyed that all. And well, miss it too. As a kid, I always wondered what was it to have a dinner party with family, mid-night prayer, burning candles. My wish finally came true when I got to know about this dinner and instantly asked my friend who readily said a yes.
A lot of us might be fans of the famous series ‘Friends’. And I remember Monica cooking Turkey on every Thanksgiving Dinner. I always had this apprehension as to how would a turkey taste?! And to my surprise it was worth it! Here are some pictures of my first-ever Thanksgiving Dinner. 🙂
Desserts all over!
Spiced hummus and grilled chicken served with pita. The grilled chicken, fried onions and pita. Now that something new I had!
Cant get enough. 😉
There was so much to eat that I could’nt decide what to stop on! So I tried little of everything. Had to suffice the foodie in me after all. 😉
